Mr. Pulgarín is an agricultural engineer with extensive expertise in cultivation and production of both flowers and vegetables. He has experience with organic cultivation, integrated pest and disease management, irrigation systems, postharvest processes, environmental systems ISO 14001, Rainforest and Florverde-Global Gap, as well as production agricultural business management, including planning and programming costs.
Mr. Pulgarín has served as Manager for Bloom Direct S.A.S., Director of Production for Tahami Cultiflores S.A. C.I., Head of Production for Cultivos Miramonte S.A., and worked with the CRECED program of the Colombian Institute of Agriculture in San José del Nus and Caucasia, Antioquia. He is a lecturer for Catholic University of the East’s graduate chrysanthemum module and founder of the Dendranthema study and research program associated with the university.
Mr. Pulgarín received his Agricultural Engineering degree from National University of Colombia, Medellin, Diplomas in Productivity Management and Finance from EAFIT, and a Diploma in Physiology from ADN y La Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano. He attended the University of Antioquia/Asocolflores International Symposium on Floriculture.
