Ms. Cardeño is an attorney based in Bogotá, Colombia trained as a specialist in Contract Law, Legal Relations and Negotiations and Commercial Law. As an independent corporate legal advisor, she provides negotiation, review and preparation of legal documents, including the structuring and development of selection processes for procurement, civil, commercial, technology and infrastructure contracts.
She has provided legal services on environmental and public utilities sectors, hydrocarbons and biofuels, from structuring to the consequent development in each of the stages of the contract, including attention and negotiation of claims and litigation preparation and assisted in the implementation of credit operations, finance, trust and acquisition of property (movable and immovable) and services, and ensuring compliance with the regulations applicable to the operation of the company in accordance with the relevant legal framework.
Since 2015, Ms. Cardeño has provided independent legal advice to private companies in civil and commercial matters, including areas such as contract (national and international), corporate (operation, incorporation and liquidation of companies), real estate (urban and rural) and intellectual property law. She has previously served as head of the legal department for Bioenergy Zona Franca S.A.S. - Filial Ecopetrol S.A., corporate attorney for Ecopetrol S.A., Temporary Union Outsourcing VQ – Incolproy and attorney for the Regional Autonomous Corporation for the Defense of the Bucaramanga Plateau.
Ms. Cardeño received a Master in Business Law and Specialist in Contract Law and Legal Relations and Negotiations from Externado University in Bogotá and her law degree from Autonomous University of Bucaramanga. She continues to expand her legal knowledge through participation in continuing education, including attendance at the National Free Trade Zone Congress for several years as well as seminars and programs offered by Colombian universities.
